Revenue Estimating for the Department of Finance Exhibits
The Franchise Tax Board’s Revenue Estimating Exhibits include statistical reports produced using summary data for personal income and corporation's tax returns, trusts, and estates. Because the taxpayer populations are very large, detailed information is collected on a sampling basis. FTB’s Economic & Statistical Research Bureau, uses the information collected to provide statistical analyses of current tax return data and trends when it meets twice a year with the Department of Finance (DOF) and Legislative Analyst Office (LAO). They use the data to assist the Governor's office in California with budget-forecasting purposes. The Revenue Estimating Exhibits are published semi-annually.
